Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $475 helped developing and promoting her shop.

Fatou Kissima's story

Fatou Kissima is a 35 year-old married mother of 4. She has been secretary of the Dinguiraye credit association since its inauguration on the 22nd of January 2003. She is very dynamic and works in the group's best interests so that it functions well. She has a shop at the heart of her village's weekly market, and this new loan will enable her to more effectively source her goods, such as rice, millet, animal feed and other food items. Her aim is to assist her husband in looking after their children.
