A loan helped to buy piglets, feed for them and fuel to dry bricks.

Sophia's story

Sophia is a 52-year old woman. She is married and has five children, one of whom is already independent. She lives in a neighborhood at the outskirts of town in her own house. She has been raising pigs and making bricks for three years. Her husband is a teacher.

Sophia's partnership with Vahatra has been going well. She has been able to build up her savings with her revenues from her previous loan. Sophia would like to increase her revenue and her savings. She needs to bolster her capital. Sophia is asking for lenders' support to buy piglets and feed for them as well as fuel to dry bricks. In the future Sophia plans to buy a car.
