Adjouavi's story

Born in 1973 in Benin, Adjouavi G. is married to Vissin DJOSSOU. The couple has two children, both at school. It is almost 15 years now since Adjouavi settled down with her husband in the Hindé district of Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. The couple shares the various family expenses. Adjouavi did not go to school. She makes "bouillie" (a type of gruel made from corn starch and sugar) which she has been selling for 12 years in the Hindé district. She gets her supplies in Cotonou. She is an old customer of ALIDé, having already had four loans; all these loans have been repaid on time. Adjouavi wants to increase her sales volume and her customer base; for this reason she is seeking financial help from ALIDé.
