A loan helped to cover her higher-education expenses.

Tiffani Yascari's story

Tiffani is studying for a degree in social communications. She's requesting a loan to cover her educational expenses. This is her story:

"My name is Tiffani and I'm 16 years old. I live with my parents and my two younger siblings. My father's a businessman and my mother's an accountant.

"I finished my secondary studies this year and I want to study at the Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo. I need this loan because my parents don't have the necessary resources to cover the expenses for my studies. I always knew I wanted to study social communications because I've always been a gifted communicator and it's what I'm passionate about.

"My academic goals are to finish my degree and graduate with honors, for my family to be proud of me, and to be a good example for my siblings. I want to be one of the best communicators in the country and to be seen as a respected public figure with a college degree. When I finish my program I want to get a good job in television or to be in charge of business communications in the public sector."
