Juanito's story

Juanito C. is from Barangay Tucal, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. He is 49 years old, is married, and has five school-aged children.

Juanito owns and operates a business planting and harvesting rice for sale. He has been engaged in his business for over fifteen years and earns approximately 40,000 PHP per harvest.

In 2009, Juanito joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and his ability to engage in business activities. He has successfully repaid a previous loan of 7,000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase fertilizer such as manure.

Juanito is requesting a new loan of 10,000 PHP which will be used to pay for services to increase crop yield. This loan will be his second from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay his children’s tuition fees.
