Enhsaihan's story

Enhsaihan Y. is 32 years old and lives with her husband and three children in Arhangai province, Mongolia. She and her family live together in a ger, which is a traditional Mongolian nomadic housing tent. Her two oldest daughters both attend a local secondary school and her youngest hasn't yet reached school age.

Enhsaihan currently operates a woolen souvenirs and accessories manufacturing business in her town with the help of her husband. They produce a variety of woolen souvenirs and accessories. Their products are very popular among their many customers due to their good quality and unique style. Enhsaihan gained experience in her trade by participating in a training for manufacturing woolen souvenirs and accessories in 2001. Since that time she has been operating her business and has built a loyal customer base.

Her business has been quite profitable, especially during the summer when a large number of tourists come through her area. Enhsaihan has used her earnings to purchase a plot of land with a house and yard for her family. She is an honest person and focused on the future. She hopes to one day have her own souvenir factory.
