A loan helped a member to stock up on salted fish and fry, which will add to her startup capital.

Irenge Group's story

Madame Marie Magdaleine is a client of Hekima IMF et presides over the group villageois "Irenge". She is a 55-year-old widow and mother of 6 schoolchildren.

She is a seller of salted fish. She has run this business for 23 years with startup funding from her deceased husband. Later she joined the Hekima program to support her business and over time her business has progressively developed. With this new loan, she will stock up on salted fish and fry to add to her startup capital. The challenge of her business is linked to a lack of capital.

She would like for her children to continue their studies, as well as to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support brought to owners of non-bankable businesses in this context of global crisis linked to COVID-19.

The photo is of only the leader of the group due to COVID-19.
