A loan helped to construct a wet-process mill.

Juan Antonio's story

Juan grows coffee. He lives in a remote community in Nicaragua and is 46 years old. His farm is 5.63 hectares, and he runs it under the Fair Trade certification criteria.

As part of the yearly continual improvement, he is asking for a loan that will allow him to construct a wet-process mill, with which he will increase the quality of coffee that he grows at his farm. This translates into a better income for himself and his family. Also, he will be able to create work opportunities for other members of his community.

This is his 5th loan with PAC.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Karen Monat.

This loan is special because:

It helps farmers purchase assets like water filtration systems.
