A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase additional inventory for his shop.

Antony's story

Antony is a 30-year-old shopkeeper. He owns a shop where he sells consumer products to walk-in customers and has been in this business for six years. He is married and has two sons from 2 to 5 years old.

The primary business challenge Antony faces is competition from nearby shops. In addition to his shop, Antony also does some farming from which he sells maize and beans for additional income. Before he was a shopkeeper, he worked in a barber shop.

Antony plans to use the 80,000 KES loan to purchase additional inventory for his shop. He has successfully repaid a previous loan of 60,000 KES.

In the future, Antony hopes to buy his own plot of land in a nearby town. In five years, he dreams of living in his own home.

Antony describes himself as an outgoing family man.
