Moufidath's story

Born in 1983, Moufidath A. has lived in Sèkandji, in the town of Sèmè-Podji, for thirteen years. Moufidath is married to Achime Orogbo, a shipping agent, and is the mother of one child, who is in school. Moufidath lives together with her child and husband. The couple share the various family expenses between themselves. Moufidath has very little formal schooling. About seven years ago, she began selling various sewing supplies at her house. This business provides her with an income that helps her meet her various needs. Moufidath buys her products at Dantokpa, the international market in Benin. She has already obtained one loan through ALIDÉ (one of Kiva's field partners), and repaid it properly. With the goal of raising the level of her business and better responding to the various needs of her customers, Moufidath is seeking a second loan through ALIDÉ.
