A loan helped a member to buy palm oil, vegetable oil, sugar, and condiments to resell.

08-Oudoucar Group's story

This 'banc villageois’ was created in May 2008. It houses a group of four women living in the same village. The women have been active in retail commerce since joining. They have benefited from several loans, which they paid back properly. Their solidarity and energy characterize their work and group interrelationships.

Ms. Aissatou, aged 58, is the group's representative and appears in the photo with a hand raised. She is widow and the mother of two children, and she has five others to support. She has good experience in retail commerce.

With her new loan, she is going to purchase sugar, palm oil, vegetable oil, and some condiments to resell. The earnings will be used to bolster her savings and to take care of herself and her children.

In this group: Aissatou, Sandji, Aminata, Awa
