01_Sounes Sereres Group's story

This group is a 'banc villlageoise' that was created in May 2009. It is made up of six women who live in the same village, who have successfully repaid 10 loans.

Madame Khady is the group representative, seated on the right in the picture with her hand raised. She is a widow, with seven children, of which, five are boys. They are all adults and working.

Khady runs a business selling smoked and dried fish. She buys them at the weekly market and sells them from home. She has 10 years experience in this business. She expects to use her loan to buy 200kg of dried fish, 140kg of smoked fish and pay for their delivery. She manages to sell her products easily as she has many customers. With her profits, she will take care of herself and increase her savings.

In this group: Khady, Adama Aliou, Mariama, Mariama, Seynabou, Fatou Tapha
