A loan helped to buy wood, nails, glue, handles, nuts, screws, etc.

Manuel's story

Manuel is 60 years old and lives in the city of Cartagena with his family.

This entrepreneur inherited the trade of cabinetmaking and carpentry from his father with whom he worked as his assistant for many years.

Manuel started his workshop 20 years ago, in which he makes all kinds of furniture for decoration, doors, windows, closets and beds among others, obtaining excellent profits. Manuel is separated and likes to be at the forefront of what is in fashion to always be competitive.

This merchant seeks to mitigate the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic and boost his workshop’s economic reactivation. He joined the "Cartagena Responde" program led by the Cartagena District Mayor's Office to request his first Kiva loan through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. Manuel will invest the loan in the purchase of wood, nails, glue, handles, nuts, screws, etc.

He is very satisfied with his business because thanks to it he has found an economic stability that provides security to his home. It is also a source of employment since he has two assistants. He needs an injection of capital to strengthen his business plan and increase his inventory of raw materials, as orders are increasing.

Support him with his business loan, it will be a success.
