A loan of $3,125 helps a member to buy kitchen utensils for resale.

01_Femcmr Group's story

This 'Banc Villageois' was created in June 2015 and consists of these five women, who live in the same village and are connected as parents and the good relations of neighbors. Their principle activity is business and they have had eight loans, all of which have been correctly repaid.

Madame Odile Awa, 58 years old, is the representative of the group. She is seated on the right with her hand raised. She is a widow and mother to three sons; the oldest one is working and the other two are still in school.

Odile Awa runs a small business selling kitchen utensils which she buys wholesale and then sells them from her house in her village. She has five years good experience here.

She plans on buying 10 mixers, 15 coolers and several dozen plates and dishes which she will sell for a good profit. With the profits, she plans to repair her house and also deposit more as saving in the 'banc villageois'.

In this group: Odile Awa, Bernadette, Martine Emilie, Suzanne, Marie Lucienne
