A loan of $1,650 helped a member to purchase a new drier for his salon.

Kihumulo Twimukye Women's Group, Mubende's story

B. Lauben is a 32-year-old happily-married father of four children who has run a salon business for five years in Ikula, Mubende. With all his efforts, he has been able to maintain it earning him 100,000 Ugandan shillings a week. This income has always been significant in contributing towards his family’s welfare.

Lauben’s current setback is lacking additional capital for purchasing salon materials like shampoo, hair oils and a drier, basically demanded lady customers. He works on both ladies' and men's hairstyles and he is grateful that he learnt the trade first and now he is a pro and customers like it.

This loan will help Lauben in buying a new drier for his salon. Lauben appears at the top left corner in the small photo just like in the big group photo.
