Rossy is a hardworking and enterprising woman who lives in a batey in the province of San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic. A batey is an impoverished community where the residents, most of them Haitian immigrants, live in extreme poverty.
Rossy has worked for 10 years selling clothing like dresses, skirts, shirts, footwear, perfume, creams, cologne, and other items. Rossy said that although clothing sales is a common business in the community, she has good customers.
Rossy wants her business to be big and prosperous so she can give her family a better quality of life.
Rossy is requesting this loan to buy new merchandise to stock her business.
