Togetherness Group's story

Annie V., who is holding the sign, is the leader of a group of five borrowers called Togetherness. She is 44 years old, widowed and has 10 children who range from four to 28 years old. She currently attends the University of Liberia.

For 10 years, she has been selling soap, sugar, tea, milk, eggs, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other provisions in the Congo Town Community, on the outskirts of Monrovia, Liberia.

She plans to use her 10,500 Liberian Dollars portion of this 45,000 Liberian Dollars group loan to buy more soap, sugar, tea, milk, eggs, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other provisions.

Her dream is to grow her business, make more profit and continue to support her family.
