A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local processing plant.

Kulbara's story

Kulbara is 48 years old, married, and is raising 4 children. She has a secondary education, works as a security guard, and has been raising cattle and farming for her family since 1998.

Thanks to her dedicated hard work, today her farm has 7 cows, 20 sheep, 2 horses, and 3.24 hectares of land on which she grows beans. She has a contract to supply organic milk to a local plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to simultaneously invest in her agricultural business. When she learned that she can get a loan at Bai Tushum Bank under a contract for future supply as part of the Value Chain program, she requested a loan for 140,000 KGS to buy dairy cows in order to increase the volume of milk sales.

Payments for milk from the local plant will go directly to Kulbara's bank account, while the loan repayments will be automatically deducted. The additional income from the loan will help to further expand her farm and to improve the wellbeing of her family.
