A loan helped to buy feed, vaccinations, vitamins, and anti-parasitics.

Marlene Lucia's story

Marlene lives in the countryside and raises small animals, and recently began working in agriculture. She learned this work from a very young age from her parents, since she has always lived in the country surrounded by nature. Marlene's father always grew his own vegetables in a garden next to their home.

Seeing how her parents cultivated the land and raised dairy cows, she learned that she could earn a living doing this herself. Wanting to support her parents, who are older now and can't work as they had before, she started off raising grazing animals in a small plot of land of her parents' just a few meters away from her house. Marlene is trying to boost her earnings to continue providing for all her household's needs. She is soliciting a loan to buy feed, vaccinations, vitamins, and anti-parasitics necessary to take care of her animals, and hopefully get higher profits from them.
