A loan of $3,950 helps a member to buy sheep and cereals.

04_Isseu Group's story

This group was created in 2009, bringing together powerful and dynamic women, who are all neighbors. They are all businesswomen and also fatten animals. They all are good friends.

Isseu, on the right hand side with her hand raised, is the representative of the group. She is 53, married, with nine children, of which five are boys. She fattens animals and also has a cereals business at the same time. She has also been president of the 'banc villageois' for several years.

With this new loan, she will buy sheep to fatten and then sell when they are mature. The remainder of the loan will enable her to buy cereals (millet, beans) which she will sell in smaller quantities.

Her profits will be used to help her husband with their children's school fees.

In this group: Isseu, Awa, Ndack, Fatou Diop, Tacko, Awa
