A loan of $2,700 helps a member to buy food products and grains.

04_Ngothie Group's story

Since its creation in December 2010, this group has been composed of helpful and dynamic women. They mostly work as merchants and raise livestock and maintain good relationships.

Fatou (to the right of the photo, with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 57 years old, married, and mother of four girls. She has worked selling food products and grains for some years.

The loan that she is requesting will allow her to buy a variety of food products (bags of rice, sugar, and cans of oil) that she will resell. With the rest of the loan, she hopes to also buy a variety of other products for her small (grains) business. With her earnings, she plans to strengthen her business as well as increase her savings in the banc villageois.

In this group: Ngone, Nogaye, Amy, Fatou Mbaye
