Elena's story

Elena is 37 years old, single and makes a living as a merchant. She has a business selling clothes at the municipal market in the city of Itá. She says she started the business more than three years ago and that she previously worked in sewing, and used the little capital she made to start her business. Currently, she has a variety of merchandise she works with day to day to make headway for all of her family. She has decided to turn to Kiva partner Fundación Paraguaya and request a loan to purchase more merchandise because demand is high right now for winter clothing (jackets and sweaters) because of the season. Elena is thankful for the loan because it allows her to satisfy all her customers' demands.
