A loan of $175 helped purchase wholesale fruit.

Lida's story

Lida, 32, lives with her husband and their 2 children in the house inherited from their parents. She has sold fruit for more than 3 years, selling according to the seasons of various fruits. She obtains them from tropical regions, purchasing shipments of oranges, chapanas, bananas, and papayas, which are very popular with people. Each week she completes the sale, distributing to her clients which are mainly small fruitsellers found in various areas of the city. In general she buys pre-mature wholesale fruit, so she has a warehouse in her house where the fruits can mature, thus guaranteeing a product quality satisfactory to her clients. This business has been beneficial, so she wants to increase her working capital to gain more clients. This is her third loan with MFP, and she promises to be very responsible with her payments. She is confident that this contribution will greatly benefit the progress of her business. She will invest this loan to purchase more wholesale fruit.
