A loan of $1,325 helps to buy composts and fertilizers.

Mario De Jesús's story

Mario de Jesús is a small entrepreneur who is 66 years old and a resident of the city of Barranquilla. He has a business of cultivating and selling rice. Mario de Jesús has more than 30 years of experience in this business. The idea for this business came about because his family always had a farming and livestock business in Sucre. He later decided that he wanted to start his own independent enterprise. He has one employee, so his business is generating income for that person’s family. His clients are mostly rice distributors.

Mario de Jesús is known for being a responsible, determined, and organized person who also offers a product of excellent quality. Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, his work level declined because of biosafety issues and his cash flow diminished drastically. For this reason, he joined the program “Barranquilla Responds” and requested his first Kiva loan through Fundación Santo Domingo. He will invest in the purchase of composts and fertilizers. Please support his business loan.
