A loan of $2,025 helps a member to buy starch, cheese, eggs, shortening, salt, and other ingredients.

Kuña Aty Group's story

This is a relatively new group made up of capable women who work hard for their families. They're also in the poverty-elimination program fighting for a better quality of life.

One of them is Jessica, who's the president of the group as well as a member. She's an enterprising person who helps her family by making a selling chipas [cheese bread]. She said it's a traditional food that's eaten throughout the year. This is why her sales are going well, because she already has steady customers.

Jessica joined the group so she could get training with which to continue providing her family with the best.

She's requesting this loan to be able to buy ingredients to make her chipas, such as starch, cheese, eggs, shortening, salt, and other ingredients.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo but this is a group loan. A group photo wasn't possible because of social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this group: Jessica, Yamili, Nilda, Cecilia, Margarita, Alma, Viviana, Silvina, Ruth, Hilaria, Maricel, Jessica
