A loan of $250 helped buy bags of corn and charcoal, and containers of "sodabi".

Mètolé Louise's story

Mètolé Louise M. was born in 1980 and is married to Félix AWLIWA. About six years ago, she settled with her husband in the Adjina neighbourhood in the third borough of Porto-Novo. The couple shares family expenses.

Louise has never attended school. To meet her needs, she has been selling corn, “sodabi” (a local fermented beverage), and charcoal from her home. She gets her supplies from Abomey in the Zou Department of Benin. She has been in business for the past ten years, and has fully repaid the previous loan granted by ALIDé.

Louise wishes to increase her working capital and raise her activity to new levels, so as to attract more customers and generate more revenue. This is why she is requesting another loan.
