A loan helped a member to expand her business.

04-Rayito De Luz Group's story

The communal bank, "Rayito de Luz", as part of the Villa Copacabana Agency, is made up of eight members who are neighbours in the same area. It is headed by a general committee where Felisa is the President.

Felisa is 42 years old. She currently has a business selling food. She explains that she learned this business from her mother sixteen years ago.

The loan that she is now taking out will be to expand the capital purchase of rice, noodles, oil and vegetables wholesale. She will get these from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. Then she will prepare and sell them in her store. This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her family financially, as she is married and has four children.

Her dreams are to make her business grow and to have a warehouse.

In this group: Lucia, Angelica, Ricardo, Flora, I Felisa, Isabel, Sandra Daisy, Rocio Del Carmen
