Liostina's story

Liostina is a 38-year-old woman from the village of Untesti, Ungheni region of Moldova. She is married and has four children who make her happy every day. Her husband, Vasile, has been working in construction for a long time, being a very good craftsman and performing quality works.

Liostina has been working as a seamstress for a long time at a company in the city. She and her family live in a house she inherited from her parents. The house is not new for this reason. Liostina has to invest in it. One of the biggest problems is that the house is not connected to the aqueduct. And Liostina has to bring water from a fountain that is a little far from the house. Having four children, she needs much water in the house.

And Liostina decided to install an aqueduct in the house. Not having enough money, she is applying for a loan from Kiva. With the loan, she will be able to improve the sanitation conditions for her children and for the whole family.
