Dora Alicia's story

Dora Alicia D. C., 36, lives in Jiquilisco in the Usulután department. She lives with family members including: her 70 year-old father, who in spite of his age still works in agriculture; her sister, who works as a domestic employee; and a nephew who is a minor and is in school. Dora is a very hardworking woman who makes and sells tortillas from her home. She also makes lunches and has a store where she sells groceries. Dora is a person who strives to get ahead and have the money needed in order to have a decent life. For this reason she requests a loan that she will use to buy corn, vegetables, staple grains and other products to use in the production of tortillas and the lunches she sells. In addition, she wants to be able to restock her store with everything necessary to increase her sales, since this is one of her most important businesses, since from it she obtains the largest earnings.
