A loan of $1,775 helps a member to buy a baby buffalo.

Thanh Luong 30 Group's story

Ms. Dien, 38 years old, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and has two children: one boy and one girl.

Her family lives in a small house on stilts in a poor village in Dien Bien province, where agriculture is the main activity.

Both husband and wife are farming. In addition, she raises chickens to generate additional income for the family.

She has borrowed three times from the Anh Chi Em program and successfully paid, so she decided to borrow a fourth loan from the program.

With this loan, she wants to buy a baby buffalo and raise it to plow, reducing labor when farming and expanding livestock work.

She hopes that by buying the buffalo, her work will be less hard and more productive to have more income to pay for her children's school fees.

In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
