Isata's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 36-year-old Isata from Wilberforce branch. She is married and has two children between the ages of 6 and 11 years of age, and all of them are attending school. She started this business to care for her family's welfare.

Isata runs a retail business and sells different kinds of drinks and other assorted items. She has been in this business for three years. Her other source of income comes from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase different kinds of soft drinks, alcohol drinks and other assorted item to increase her business. Isata says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family.

In the future, she would like to establish in to a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC Sierra Leone and Kiva for their support.
