Raksa's story

Raksa, age 24, is married and has three children who're attending school. She lives with her family in the area of Kiri Vong district, Takeo province. She earns a living by working as a paid laborer and her husband works as a construction worker. This couple helps each other, and working hard and seriously they can earn approximately only USD 12 per day to fulfill the family's requirements.

Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to renovate her old house. Currently, her roof is leaking and she needs zinc and cement to cover it. With the help of this loan, she will have enough funds to purchase construction supplies and pay labor costs.

In the future, she wants to purchase a plot of land for agriculture and push her children to continue studying at university.
