A loan helped to buy mulberry bark for her business of making tapas.

Veilomani's story

Veilomani is a widow with four children. Her husband just passed away, and it is the reason for her black dress, honoring her late husband. She went through hard times, and yet she still manages to run her business and continue taking care of her children. Her eldest attends the university, while the rest are still in high school.

Veilomani is a member of a tapa group of people in their village, and together they conduct tapa making once in every week. Shown behind her is a pile of tapas, ready to sell. She also prepares soft tapas and sells them at the local market. She sells tapas to her relatives overseas.

Veilomani applied for a loan to buy mulberry bark to make tapas and also soft tapas for selling. Her only priority now is for her children to finish their education and pursue a career in the future.
