A loan of $875 helps to purchase sheets, clothing, and imitation jewelry, and other items of merchandise.

Iris Tatiana's story

Iris is 37 years old, married, and has 3 children, ages 17, 15, and 4 years old. Her husband is a public employee. They live in the house of a family member in Manta, a prosperous city much visited by tourists who enjoy its marvelous beaches. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, tourism has largely diminished.

Iris is an enterprising woman who works daily in order to be able to help her husband cover household expenses. This is why some 2 years ago, she opened a business selling sheets, clothing, shoes, and imitation jewelry, among other items. Her principal customers are passers by, neighbors, and people from outside the sector. Iris accepts payment in cash or credit. But owing to the pandemic, she has had to suspend her economic activity recently for health reasons and on orders from the national government.

Now, Iris is requesting a new loan to augment her business's working capital and purchase new merchandise.

This loan will be invested in purchasing sheets, clothing, and imitation jewelry, among other items, to sell.

Iris's dream is to be able to have a house of her own, and that her business might grow.
