A loan helped to be able to increase the business working capital and to pay suppliers and employees.

Jarled Del Carmen's story

Jarled is a 43-year-old micro entrepreneur. She lives in the city of Barranquilla, a place where she lives with her husband and where she also has a business selling hardware and electronics products.

Jarled del Carmen started this business approximately 5 years ago, due to lack of job opportunities and for the desire to move her family forward and to help her partner with the household expenses. Jarled has earned recognition in the sector as a responsible and hard-working person. She offers her services daily to passers-by, neighbours, family members and people connected to the sector with payments in cash and on credit.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she had to suspend her work for safety reasons and by requirement from the national government. She is currently applying for her first Kiva loan with Fundacion Santo Domingo through the Barranquila plan. She will be able to increase her business working capital and for paying suppliers and wages for her employees. Support her in her loan for her business.
