Naom's story

Naom is a 41-year old mother of two children. She lives in Kenyenya, a town which surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. She is a hardworking woman who has farmed for the past ten years.

Naom is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs to improve her farm production and make more income for her family. The major impediment to the development of small hold farms in Kenya is lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support small holder farmers in Kenya through financing therefore guaranteeing their survival. She hopes that all Kiva lenders are adhering to the safety measures in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
