Cathy's story

Cathy is a 42 year-old woman who is married with one child. She lives in a community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands.

She runs a small farming business growing and selling cabbages, beans, cucumbers, potatoes and cassavas at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for three years.

Cathy has requested a loan to pay for additional cabbages, beans, cucumbers, cassava and potatoes to assist her with her business. She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.
