A loan of $1,325 helps to purchase products for her business such as water, energy drinks, sodas, and other items.

Maria De Jesus's story

Maria is an entrepreneurial 24-year-old woman. She lives in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, where she owns a business selling beverages. Maria de Jesus began this business approximately two years ago due to the lack of work opportunities and because of her desire to improve her quality of life and that of her family. This young woman offers her products every day to her main customers, who are neighbors, friends, extended family members, and people who live in the area. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she had to suspend her sales because of regulations from the federal government and due to health concerns. Currently thanks to the plan "Reactivate Cartagena" she is asking for her first Kiva loan through Kiva's field partner Fundación Santo Domingo in order to increase her business capital and purchase products for her business such as water, energy drinks, sodas, and other items. This will help to increase her sales and income. Support her in this loan for her business.
