A loan of $1,325 helps to increase his business' working capital and to buy supplies like grains, rice and more to stock his business.

Lemuel's story

Lemuel is a 32-year-old microbusiness man. He lives in the city of Cartagena de Indias, where he has had a store as a business for approximately 3 years. Lemuel started this business due to a lack of employment opportunities and because he wanted to get his family ahead. He provides his services daily to people from the nearby area, like neighbors, friends and more. Due to the covid 19 pandemic, his business profits and sales were drastically reduced. This was because he had to close his store at an early hour for public health and safety reasons. That is why he joined the Reactívate Cartagena program led by the Chamber of Commerce to take out his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo. He did this to increase his business' working capital and to buy supplies like grains, rice, and more to stock his business and increase its sales and profits. Support him in his business loan.
