Diana Patricia's story

Diana Patricia is a 35 year-old micro-entrepreneur who lives in the city of Barranquilla with her family. She started her business to generate income and help her family's finances. She developed her business plan and opened her restaurant and bar on the recommendation of some relatives who are involved in this industry.

For Diana the most important thing is the service she offers to her clients, so she provides them with a family atmosphere where they can have a pleasant time, with karaoke music and good home-style food. This business has yielded excellent profits for her.

This entrepreneur's sales were affected due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic. Diana rebranded herself, and the home delivery service was a great tool for supporting herself.

This businesswoman seeks to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and boost her economic recovery. She joined the "Barranquilla Responde" (Barranquilla Responds) program, led by the Chamber of Commerce and the District Mayor's Office of Barranquilla, to apply for her Kiva loan through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. The first loan that the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo makes, she will invest in the purchase of electrical parts, food products, and liquor.

Diana considers this a source of employment that benefits society. She wants to provide her clients with quality service so that her income increases and her quality of life improves. Support her on her loan; she will be a success.
