A loan of $1,000 helps to buy pigs, whey, compound animal feed and potatoes.

Nelly Socorro's story

Nelly is a 28-year-old humble woman who is known for being responsible, charismatic, enterprising and extroverted. She lives with her family in a humble house that is lent to them by her relatives. Her husband is a day laborer while she takes care of the animals and the household.

Through her work, Nelly supports her husband with the household expenses of her humble home. This is why she wants to continue investing in her business, and she is requesting this new loan with Kiva to buy pigs, whey, compound animal feed and potatoes. In this way, she hopes to continue helping her husband to support their family.
