Abla Adokovi's story

Abla is a married woman, 33 years old, and the mother of two. She is a merchant of various qualities of 'pagnes' [the colorful wax cloth of western Africa]. She orders her merchandise twice a month at the market and is requesting a loan to purchase various lengths of ‘pagne cloth to satisfy her customer base. With a bit of courage and devotion, she plans to lift herself out of poverty and to have the means to manage the family.
