A loan of $1,000 helps to buy more crickets and other groceries for making food.

Phayvann's story

Phayvann is 42 years old, married, and is the mother of a child. She and her husband buy and resell fried crickets. She has been running this business for 2.5 years.

Her main challenge is insufficient capital.

Phayvann has applied for a 4,000,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy more crickets and other groceries for making food.

Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home, and send her children to school.

This loan is special because:

It provides entrepreneurs with resources to increase income and improve their living conditions
