A loan of $350 helped she will buy clothing merchandise to stock her business.

Rosario's story

Julia, who is 52 years old, is a mother and very hardworking. She is separated and lives in her own house. In the mornings she takes care of an elderly woman. During the afternoons she sells clothing and cosmetics.

She makes her sales through orders and her customers are people who are responsible in their payments—she sells merchandise to them on credit. Julia is very happy with her sales because they have been very good during the 8 years since she has had this business. At first she lost her capital in this business, because of the credit she extended to people. Since then, when she has new customers she first asks for references in order to sell to them with assurance, or she sells to them for cash up front.

Her greatest wish is to increase her capital and then buy a vitrine where she can show her merchandise. This is the twelfth loan that she has had with Microfinanzas Prisma, and she will continue being punctual in her payments because she would like to have more loans in the future. In her group she is a very responsible and respected member. She plans to invest the requested money in buying clothing merchandise, so she can continue making progress with her business.
