A loan of $750 helps to buy more fish to sell at the market.

Saven's story

Saven is 28 years old, married, and is the mother of three children. For the past three years she and her husband have raised and sold fish to earn an income. Her main challenge is the fluctuating price of goods.

Saven has applied for a 3,000,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy more fish and fish feed to support her farming business. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home, and send her children to school.

This loan is special because:

It allows farmers to repay when they receive harvest income and gives them access to training.
