Christine, a 48-year-old woman, lives in Aber and is divorced with 6 children; 3 of them are attending school. She is a farmer growing beans, cassava and maize, as well as selling produce for side income.
She is borrowing a loan from VisionFund to buy seeds, fertilizers and pesticides for this season so that she is able to get a high yield and thus a higher income. She hopes to use this income to hire more land for next season and also keep some money for school fees. Christine describes herself as hardworking.
She is challenged by pests and diseases and is grateful to Kiva for the financial support.
