A loan of $650 helps to plant grain crops, reap a good harvest and increase her income.

Bahor's story

Bahor is a hardworking and patient rural woman, with big potential but without opportunity. She was born in 1982 in Gonchi, Tajikistan. She is married and has four children. Her family is her support in this life.

During these difficult times of the pandemic, her sons were unemployed. She had to seriously think about how to feed her large family. As she has favorable conditions for breeding livestock and growing agricultural products, she started her agricultural business. She has 1 hectare of irrigated land and 5 hectares of dry land that is difficult to irrigate. On this large area of land she is going to start sowing wheat and barley. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have enough money for this. She consulted with her family and decided to apply for a loan.

Bahor is a returning borrower and has positive credit history. She is asking for a loan with Kiva’s partner IMON for the third time. This loan will help her to plant grain crops, reap a good harvest and increase her income. She hopes that you will help her and will not leave her in a difficult situation.

This loan is special because:

It supports low-income female farmers while minimizing interest payments.
