Nos K., 39, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia, an area known for its clay and ceramic products.
K. buys chickens for resale for a gross income of about USD 30 per day. Her husband buys lotus seeds for resale, earning a gross income of USD 25 per day to help cover the family expenses.
K. is requesting a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase more chickens to sell and to expand her current business. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
In the future, K. would like to use any additional profit to repair her house.
