A loan of $4,000 helps a member to buy flour, eggs, lard, sugar, and other products.

Obreras Group's story

This group is named Obreras. It is made up of women who are heads of their households and who fight for a better quality of life. They are in the fourth cycle of the women's committee program, where they are all doing their best to achieve their goals.

One of them is Yeny, who dedicates herself to the bakery in her house. She has regular customers as well as occasional customers who place orders for special dates like birthdays and anniversaries. Señora Yeny says that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the area in which she works was affected. It made sales difficult because the products that she offered were not considered basic needs. But despite this, she seeks a way to overcome and to continue improving.

She asks for this loan so that she can buy ingredients for making her products; like flour, eggs, lard, sugar, and other items.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group photo was not possible due to having to avoid a crowd of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
