A loan of $1,000 helped buy tractor parts to replace when they are broken.

Cheam's story

Cheam M., 56, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-Angkorean temples. She and her husband are employed to operate tractors to plow fields for an income of about $5 each per day. M. is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase tractor parts to change out when they are broken. She would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia. M. appears in the photograph showing her house under construction.
